On February 5th, voters will decide whether to continue and update Pasadena's Utility Users Tax (UUT) on telephone service, which has been in place for forty years. Revenues from the telephone UUT help pay for:
  • fire protection
  • paramedics and 911 emergency response
  • police protection and anti-gang programs
  • public libraries
  • street repairs
  • parks and rercreation
  • after school programs
  • and many other services
Measure D will renew the UUT with NO increase in the tax rate. It will keep our city budget balanced and protect every neighborhood from major cutbacks in service.
